YOUR HAIR WILL GROW AGAIN

"Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven."

— JUDGES 16:22

There are seasons in life when you may look at yourself and feel like you have lost it all. You may feel depleted, having lost so much that you don’t even know where or how to begin again. But the story of Samson reveals a powerful truth: what God placed inside you is not permanently lost, it can be restored.

Samson was chosen by God, set apart as a Nazarite, and empowered with extraordinary strength from birth. His hair symbolized his covenant with God. Yet through compromise and disobedience, he lost his strength and vision. He went from being a deliverer to a prisoner, grinding in the prison of his enemies.

But that was not the end of his story. There came a turning point: “his hair began to grow again.” This was more than physical regrowth—it was a sign of restoration, renewal, and divine mercy. God had not completely abandoned him.

In the same way, your hair will grow again. That lost opportunity will not define you forever and that mistake is not the end of your story. God is able to restore whatever has been lost, your strength, your purpose, and your calling. Joel 2:25 – “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…”

However, Samson’s restoration was tied to his return to God. In his brokenness, he cried out in Judges 16:28 – “O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once…” This reminds us that restoration is deeply connected to repentance. When you turn back to Him wholeheartedly, He begins to rebuild what was lost and revive what seemed dead.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You because my story is not over. Let every area of my life that has been weakened begin to grow again. Renew my strength, my purpose, and my relationship with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
