THE BUSH IS STILL BURNING

"And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush… and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."

— EXODUS 3:2.

The burning bush was not just a moment in history; it is a revelation of God’s nature and power. When Moses encountered that fire, he witnessed something beyond natural explanation. This was a divine sign that when God is present, it defies natural limitations. – Isaiah 43:2 “When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

That same fire still burns today. God’s presence is still active, His power is still alive, and His voice is still speaking – Hebrews 13:8. The burning bush marked the beginning of a new path in the life of Moses. It was a divine encounter that permanently altered his destiny. Every genuine encounter with God leaves a man transformed.

The bush became the place of Moses’ calling into a divine assignment that gave his life meaning. From that moment, the history of Israel could no longer be told without him. “Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh…” – Exodus 3:10 When you encounter God’s fire, it is not only to make you wonder, it is to speak to you, commission you, send you, and begin to speak through you. “I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness…” – Acts 26:16.

Do not ignore the fire. Turn aside, like Moses did: “I will now turn aside, and see this great sight…” – Exodus 3:3 In that place of attention and reverence, your purpose will be revealed. The bush is still burning to usher you into your place of destiny. You may well be the Moses your family or even your generation needs, to break long-standing strongholds and end cycles of prolonged affliction.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the fire Your presence carries. Give me a sensitive heart to discern Your voice and the grace to respond when You call. Let Your fire purify me and refine me, bringing me into the fullness of my purpose, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
