GOD GUIDES WHEN HE LEADS
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye."
— Psalms 32:8
God’s promise to guide us begins with His instruction. He does not guide randomly. He first teaches, instructs, corrects, and shows us His ways. When we choose to obey His instructions and follow His teaching, we place ourselves in the position to receive His guidance. God’s guidance is a benefit of obedience, not a reward for stubborn independence.
Many times, we ask God to guide our plans when those plans were made without Him. This year we must learn to submit ourselves and plans to God Because *God does not pay the cost for our own ambitions when we refuse His direction. Psalm 127:1 reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” When we move ahead without God, we carry the burden alone. When we follow Him, He carries us.
God leads those who are willing to listen. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). Hearing and following go together. Guidance flows from relationship and obedience. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” When we surrender our plans to Him, He straightens our path.
God’s Word lights the way, but we must walk in that light. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” A lamp only helps those who choose to follow its light.
When we obey, God guides. When He leads, we are safe.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to guide me. I place my plans, desires, and decisions fully in Your hands. Give me a willing and obedient heart to follow where You lead, so that I may enjoy Your divine backing and guidance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
