THE GOD OF OUR FATHERS
"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree."
— ACTS 5:30
Peter spoke of “the God of our fathers” to show that God is not distant or new. He is the same faithful God who walked with previous generations and proved Himself mighty in their lives. Their relationship with Him was real and visible.
In the same way, our walk with God today should carry proofs that our children can see and believe. Children learn faith best through living examples. When they see us pray and receive answers, trust God in difficulties, and obey His Word, conviction is formed in their hearts.
God instructed His people to teach His commands diligently to their children in daily life (Deuteronomy 6:6–7). This teaching is not only by words but by lifestyle. A proven relationship with God becomes a strong testimony.
The Bible shows how generational faith works. Timothy’s sincere faith grew from the examples of his mother and grandmother (2 Timothy 1:5). Joshua boldly declared, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). These families passed down not just religion, but a living experience of God. Psalm 78:4 urges us to tell the next generation about the Lord’s works and His power.
When our children witness God’s faithfulness in our lives, they gain their own reason to trust Him. Through a life filled with evidence of God’s presence, we point them to the risen Christ.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Yourself to me. Let my life be a testimony that draws my seed closer to You, and establish Your truth in their hearts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
