BORN TO SHINE
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden."
— MATTHEW 5:14
There is something powerful about light that makes it impossible to be ignored. No matter how small it seems, light always stands out in darkness. In the same way, through redemption, God has created you to shine by reflecting His glory to your world through your words, actions, and daily life.
From the very beginning, we have been ordained by God to be carriers and bearers of His light. “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” — Isaiah 60:1. This means your ability to shine does not come from your own strength; it comes from God’s presence within you.
Sometimes, life may try to dim your light through challenges, but remember, light does not struggle to shine, it simply needs to be turned on. When you stay connected to God, your light will shine naturally.
Jesus made it clear that your light has a purpose. This is God’s will for you in redemption. (“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16). Your life is meant to point others to God through your light—expressed in kindness, love, and truth.
No matter where you are today or what situation you find yourself in, you are not meant to blend into darkness—you are meant to overcome it by your light. “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” — Proverbs 4:18

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me to shine. I walk in Your light and nothing will hide who You have made me to be. Let my life reflect Your glory in all I do. Shine through me so others may see You, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
