HIS BLOOD, YOUR ESCAPE
"Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."
— ROMANS 5:9 (NKJV)
Man's greatest problem has never been a lack of effort, goodness, or religious activity—it has always been sin. Sin was what separated us from God and placed us under judgment. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
God is holy and just, it is sin that brings wrath. Yet, in His great love, God did not leave us without hope. Romans 5:9 points us to that hope. It tells us that we have been justified by His blood. To be justified means to be declared righteous—to be treated as though we are not guilty. This righteousness is not something we earned through good works or moral living. It came at a cost: the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. Scripture says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Ephesians 1:7).
The blood of Jesus is our escape. The wrath of sin does not rest on those who are in Christ because Jesus already took our judgment upon Himself. “Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). When we place our faith in Him, we move from fear to freedom and from condemnation to peace. We are no longer living under the threat of punishment; instead, we live in the assurance of salvation. “Jesus… delivers us from the wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:10).
Live with this consciousness all through this year with gratitude and confidence. Our safety is not found in our performance, but in the finished work of Christ. His blood has spoken—and it speaks mercy, and forgiveness which is YOUR ESCAPE

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus that justifies me and saves me from the wrath of sin. I rest in Your mercy and declare that I am the righteousness of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
