DEALING WITH OPPOSITION

"“Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.”"

— DANIEL 6:4

Opposition is often a byproduct of distinction. When God lifts a man, not everyone will celebrate it. The same excellence that brings promotion can provoke envy. This was the experience of Daniel, his blameless life became the very reason he was targeted.

The presidents and princes scrutinized Daniel’s life, searching for errors and inconsistencies, yet they found none. His integrity was intact, and his service was faithful. A life of discipline may not stop opposition, but it removes the legitimacy of accusation.

When people cannot fault your character, they will often challenge your convictions. Daniel’s enemies shifted their strategy from his work to his worship.

HOW TO DEAL WITH OPPOSITION
Maintain Integrity: Integrity is your strongest defense against reproach. (2 Cor. 8:21; Job 17:9)
Stay Consistent in Devotion: Daniel prayed as usual, even under threat. Do not adjust your walk with God to please men. (Dan. 6:10)
Expect Spiritual Battles: Opposition is not always physical; often it is spiritual. Stay watchful and prayerful. (2 Tim. 3:12; 1 John 3:13)
Trust God for Vindication: God defended Daniel and silenced his accusers; He will do the same for you. (Dan. 6:22; Isa. 54:17).

When men rise against you without a cause, God will rise on your behalf.
