GOD IS WITH YOU

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

— PSALM 23:4

As believers, the real issue in life is not the road we walk on, but whether God is with us on that road. No matter how dark or difficult the valley may be, if God is present, fear loses its power.

This is why David began Psalm 23 by declaring, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” By the time he reached verse 4, his confidence was clear: “For Thou art with me.” This awareness of God’s presence removed fear, doubt, and worry about the outcome of his trials. The true danger in life is not trouble itself, but living without God’s presence.

God’s rod and staff represent His guidance, authority, correction, and protection. As a faithful Shepherd, He directs our steps and defends us from harm, ensuring safety for those who trust in Him.

David expressed this same confidence again in Psalm 3:5–6:
“I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.”

Because David was conscious of God’s presence, he could sleep in peace, face enemies without fear, and confront giants like Goliath with boldness.
That same divine presence gives us courage, peace, and victory today.

As believers, let us continually grow in the awareness of God’s abiding presence—because it is His presence that silences fear and defeats the enemy.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your constant presence in my life. I declare that in this year and beyond, no evil shall come near me. Your presence brings guidance, protection, and victory to me always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
