DON'T STAY DOWN
"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me."
— MICAH 7:8
Life has moments of pressure—seasons when the weight feels heavy, progress slows, and opposition seems loud. Micah 7:8 captures the resilient heart of a believer. The prophet does not deny the fall or the darkness. But he refuses to stay there. This is the posture of faith: not pretending there is no pain, but confidently declaring that pain will not have the final word.
As believers, falling is not failure—remaining down is. The enemy often celebrates temporary setbacks, hoping discouragement will finish what adversity started. But we reminded that our strength is in the Lord who lights our darkness. “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand” (Psalm 37:24).
God calls His people to rise—again and again. Rising means choosing courage over comfort, action over sympathy, and obedience over excuses. The believer is not sustained by pity but by purpose. Difficult seasons are not invitations to quit; they are opportunities to go the extra mile, to build spiritual muscle and capacity, and to prove that God’s grace also works under pressure (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Proverbs 24:16 says, “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.” Righteousness is not about never falling—it is about always rising. When you refuse to stay down, you testify that darkness is temporary and that God is faithful to restore, strengthen, and lead you forward.
So rise. Rise in prayer. Rise in obedience. Rise in hope. Let the enemy see that your fall only revealed the power of your God.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your willingness to raise me when I fall. I refuse to stay down, discouraged. Be my light in every dark season. I declare that setbacks will not stop me, and I am strengthened by Your grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
