KEEP YOUR EYES LIFTED

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth."

— PSALMS 121:1-2

in Jeremiah 17:5, "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart from the LORD." This means that relying solely on human strength, wisdom, or systems will always lead to disappointment. Man, by nature, is limited, weak, and unreliable. No matter how strong or influential someone appears, they are still subject to failures and shortcomings.

However, the situation is different for those who trust in God. The Bible encourages us to keep our eyes lifted, looking unto the hills from where our help comes (Psalm 121:1-2). Our true source of strength, guidance, and provision is God alone. Hebrews 12:2 reminds us to look unto Jesus, _"the author and finisher of our faith." _ When we set our focus on Him, we receive constant and continuous support.

God never leaves those who trust in Him stranded. He always makes a way where there seems to be none. Jeremiah 17:7-8 declares, "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit." This passage paints a picture of stability, fruitfulness, and unshakable confidence in God's provision.

Those who put their faith in God are like trees planted by the river; they never qrun dry, even in difficult seasons. While others struggle in times of hardship, they continue to flourish because their source of strength is divine. Trusting in God means we will never be stranded, lost, or forsaken.

Prayer
